About us…
While pursuing Fine Art degrees in college,
Chris and Alicia met applying for a position at a
local portrait studio. They both were hired and
together they just clicked!

Now, several years later, they are still
very much in love with 2 children,
2 dogs, several fish, and a
very successful photography business.

Shared passions for art, Chris and Alicia have
refined their talents with a blend of documentary,
fine art and portrait photography. Their study in
this field has been through a multitude of
experiences and assignments.

Chris Dugas, born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana
has been a professional photographer for nearly
20 years. His Cajun heritage provided him
with various opportunities to capture family life
and rural scenes. His love of art, history and culture grew as he cultivated his talents photographing rich landscapes, architectures and people of Louisiana. He also gained experience working with several commercial and portrait photographers in the New Orleans area. His photographs have been published and shown in several galleries around the country, such as the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans and Rako Photo Center in San Francisco. Chris' images have appeared on compact disc covers and magazines such as publications for the Contemporary Arts Center, Shots Magazine, New Orleans Wedding Pages, New Orleans Magazine, Photographer's Forum and a national portrait campaign for Advance Photo Lab. WYES-TV/Channel 12's Art Auction recently honored him for his excellence in Fine Art photography.

Alicia Frisella-Dugas, born and raised in Gentilly, a New Orleans neighborhood, found a passion for photography while working as a staff photographer for her college yearbook. Continuing to photograph personally she decided to focus her career more on graphic design and advertising. She has been a professional photographer for 13 years as well as a freelance graphic designer. These combinations of skills have contributed to the diversity and artistic approach of Dugas Photography. Together, with her husband, Chris, they have been specializing in weddings for over 10 years.

Our view:
We feel that as our own anniversaries pass, our wedding memories are forever suspended in time through photographs, which we rely on these images to recall the moments and evoke the feelings from the day as we now share them with our children.

Each wedding couple we meet, we take time to get to know them. We feel that your wedding day is such an intimate event that it is extremely important to have a good line of communication. We want your wedding photographs to reflect the tone of the celebration in a realistic, natural, relaxed manner. We realize that our job is not only to posses a strong knowledge of the camera but a remarkable affinity for people and their expressions. Our combined perspectives bring a collection of photographs that capture the emotions of the day in a discreet personal manner.
